The project addresses systemic inefficiencies in sourcing energy efficient technologies, equipment, products, and utility incentives for green buildings. The project entailed piloting the EcoSpex online platform, incorporating Save-On-Energy incentive programs into the platform, and testing EcoSpex’s process for verifying technologies, products’ environmental and technical merits. To increase awareness of incentive programs and building products that facilitate energy conservation, EcoSpex will connect key stakeholders by educating LDCs and engaging construction professionals, designers, engineering, energy managers and specifiers to test the tool and view products online.
