Deep Retrofit Accelerator Initiative

Funding provided through the Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Deep Retrofit Accelerator Initiative is  helping EcoSpex give deep retrofit planning a smarter path forward.


The Deep Retrofit Accelerator Initiative (DRAI) provides funding to organizations and projects that facilitate the development of deep retrofits in commercial, institutional, and mid or high-rise multi-unit residential buildings in Canada.


Funding from DRAI project will support the development of a 6-phase work plan starting September 2025 to March 2027.

Academia Partners

Our academic partners are instrumental in advancing innovation through collaborative research, technical expertise, and knowledge exchange. Their support in (R&D) includes BIM, Design for Dementia, Automation and hiring of engineer students. This support has helped transform ideas into practical, market-ready solutions while fostering continuous learning, sustainability, and industry advancement.
